How to Cook Perfect Dumplings?

*Important / 备注: DO NOT DEFROST the dumplings beforehand. Cook when they are frozen. / 不要解冻饺子,需要冷冻时煮。
Pan-Fry 油煎
Normal 普通煎饺
- Add a thin layer of cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan, on moderate heat.
在中火的情况下,把少许的食用油加入锅中。 - Place the frozen dumplings in the pan.
将冷冻的饺子放在锅中。 - Add water to cover one-third of the height of the dumplings. Cover the pan and boil it for about 4 minutes.
加水覆盖饺子高度的三分之一。然后把盖子盖上,煮约4分钟。 - Remove any excess water OR continue boiling it until the water evaporates.
倒掉多余的水,或继续煮直至水蒸发。 - Add a little more cooking oil and continue cooking until the dumpling bases are golden. Serve immediately.
再加一点食用油,把饺子底煎至金黄色后,即可享用。
With Crisp Skirt 冰花煎饺
- Prepare the slurry for your crisp skirt by mixing 30ml cooking oil, 80ml water and 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour.
把30毫升的食用油,80毫升的水和1汤匙的面粉混合起来,搅拌均匀成冰花的浆液。 - Place the frozen dumplings in the pan in clockwise direction.
将冷冻的饺子按顺时针方向放在锅中。 - Turn the heat to medium-low, then pour a thin layer of slurry into the pan, covering all the dumpling bases. Cover the pan and pan-fry it for about 6 minutes until the slurry turns into a layer of golden brown crisp skirt. Serve immediately.
开中低火后,将少许的浆液倒入锅中,覆盖所有的饺子底。盖上锅盖,煎约6分钟,直到浆液变成一层金黄色的冰花后,即可享用。
Boil 水煮
- Bring the water in the pot to a boil.
将锅中的水烧开。 - Add frozen dumplings to the boiling water.
将冷冻的饺子加到沸水中。 - Continue cooking for 7 minutes until tender and cooked, on moderate heat.
继续以中火煮7分钟,直到煮熟。 - Scoop up the dumplings and serve immediately.
把饺子捞起来,即可享用。
