How to Cook Perfect Dumplings?

Choose your preferred cooking method / 选择你喜欢的烹饪方式 : Pan-Fry 油煎 | Boil 水煮

*Important / 备注: DO NOT DEFROST the dumplings beforehand. Cook when they are frozen. / 不要解冻饺子,需要冷冻时煮。

Pan-Fry 油煎

Normal 普通煎饺

  1. Add a thin layer of cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan, on moderate heat.
    在中火的情况下,把少许的食用油加入锅中。
  2. Place the frozen dumplings in the pan.
    将冷冻的饺子放在锅中。
  3. Add water to cover one-third of the height of the dumplings. Cover the pan and boil it for about 4 minutes.
    加水覆盖饺子高度的三分之一。然后把盖子盖上,煮约4分钟。
  4. Remove any excess water OR continue boiling it until the water evaporates.
    倒掉多余的水,或继续煮直至水蒸发。
  5. Add a little more cooking oil and continue cooking until the dumpling bases are golden. Serve immediately.
    再加一点食用油,把饺子底煎至金黄色后,即可享用。

With Crisp Skirt 冰花煎饺

  1. Prepare the slurry for your crisp skirt by mixing 30ml cooking oil, 80ml water and 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour.
    把30毫升的食用油,80毫升的水和1汤匙的面粉混合起来,搅拌均匀成冰花的浆液。
  2. Place the frozen dumplings in the pan in clockwise direction.
    将冷冻的饺子按顺时针方向放在锅中。
  3. Turn the heat to medium-low, then pour a thin layer of slurry into the pan, covering all the dumpling bases. Cover the pan and pan-fry it for about 6 minutes until the slurry turns into a layer of golden brown crisp skirt. Serve immediately.
    开中低火后,将少许的浆液倒入锅中,覆盖所有的饺子底。盖上锅盖,煎约6分钟,直到浆液变成一层金黄色的冰花后,即可享用。

Boil 水煮

  1. Bring the water  in the pot to a boil.
    将锅中的水烧开。
  2. Add frozen dumplings to the boiling water.
    将冷冻的饺子加到沸水中。
  3. Continue cooking for 7 minutes until tender and cooked, on moderate heat.
    继续以中火煮7分钟,直到煮熟。
  4. Scoop up the dumplings and serve immediately.
    把饺子捞起来,即可享用。
